Based on the life of Adolf Anderson, number 1 in the world until he met Morphy (21 years old) in Paris in 1858. His chess playing was wild but his life was timid and lonely, neither he nor his sister ever married, he lived with his sister and widowed mother until he died at age 60. His grave was diturbed by Russian bombing during World War 2.
